I completed my integrated master's in Neuroscience at Cardiff University. I completed my master's project at the BRG, I investigated the benefits of using Xav in an MSN differentiation protocol when developing cells for neural transplant. I have now moved on to completing my PhD within the lab, funded by the Hodge Centre of Translational Neuroscience. I'm supervised by Mariah Lelos, Anne Rosser and John Attack from the Medicine Discovery Insitute. During my project, I will be investigating the possibility of GABAa modulators in treating the cognitive symptoms of Huntington's Disease. During my time at the BRG, I have developed skills in immunohistochemistry, qPCR and receptor occupancy studies. I also have a keen interest in public engagement having worked with school-age children in neuroscience engagement activities.
