I’m Demi, a PhD student in the Brain Repair Group under the supervision of Dr. Mariah Lelos and Professor Anne Rosser. I hold a master’s degree in biological science research and a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, which included a professional training year in the United States. My research interests broadly lie in the elucidating the cellular and molecular changes associated with various neurodegenerative diseases. Currently, my PhD project focuses characterising the structure and function of the midbrain dopaminergic pathway to the claustrum in both healthy and Parkinson’s brains.
